Stolo Family Vineyards is the only fully operational vineyard, tasting room, and winery in Cambria. Just minutes from Main Street, two miles up Scenic Santa Rosa Creek Road, visitors find a restored farmhouse that sits at the base of a sun kissed nine acre vineyard. The farmhouse, old dairy barn, and ranch-hand quarters date back to the late 1800’s. With the addition of the new rustic tasting room and winery overlooking the vineyards, visitors treated with the full wine tasting experience.
The vineyards, planted in 1998 and less than three miles from the ocean, thrive in Cambria’s unique microclimate. This cool climate location produces award winning estate pinot noir, syrah, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and dry gewürztraminer. The Stolo family is dedicated to creating wine that is expressive of their distinct location; wines they are proud to put the family name on.

“The rows of vines stretching west from Paso Robles toward the coast are ever multiplying, but few can reach further toward the ocean than the Stolos’ parcel, just east of the fog-shrouded town of Cambria, perhaps 3 miles from the coast and just south of San Simeon. I first saw the vineyards in mid-2007, tasted the wine later that year, and didn’t put the two together until this spring, when I was dazzled again by its potential. It gives new meaning to the second word in Central Coast.”
“Although they produced their first wines with the 2004 harvest, the Stolo family only recently opened their tasting room. It was the day after Thanksgiving when they opened to the public, and they’ve been packing in locals and tourists ever since. Given the quality of their Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Zinfandel, it’s no surprise that word of their opening would spread like wildfire.”
